DESCRIPTION:Solidarity event by “Queers 4 Palestine – Toronto\,” panel discussion\, food and poetry\n\n\nQueers 4 Palestine \nBuilding Community Solidarity in Toronto \n  \nFriday\, December 1\, 2023 \n7:30 pm \nTrinity-St. Paul’s United Church and Centre for Faith\, Justice and the Arts (427 Bloor St W) \nCalling all queer\, trans and gender diverse people to join in an evening of building community solidarity for Palestine in Toronto. Join us to hear about the long history of queer Palestine solidarity activism in Toronto\, sexual and gender diversity in Palestine\, and current actions to demand an immediate ceasefire\, an end to the siege on Gaza and to stop Canada’s military aid to Israel. As queer and trans people\, we resist all forms of oppression and pinkwashing\, because we know that our liberation is tied to the liberation of Palestinians and all people. We refuse to be complicit in genocide. \nThe evening will include speakers\, performances\, and an opportunity to connect with groups working for the liberation of Palestine here in Toronto. \nThis is a free event. Cash donations will be kindly accepted to support the mobilization of solidarity for Palestinian liberation in Toronto. \nThis event is wheelchair accessible.Wearing a mask is encouraged to support participation and protect the health of everyone in our communities. \nThis event is being organized by Queers 4 Palestine TO (@queers4palestineTO)\, a new collective of queer\, trans and gender diverse Palestinian and non-Palestinian people in Toronto working in solidarity for Palestinian liberation. \nWe endorse and amplify the liberatory demand from Queers in Palestine. \nInquires can be directed to queers4palestineTO@gmail.com
